What is Mountaineering?

Mountaineering as a sport combines climbing & hiking up mountains; done on regular terrain, rocky areas, and ice or snow slopes, mountaineering merges a series of techniques and requires a highly technical approach.

A Climbers use a variety of equipment when mountaineering. This may include anything from ropes, carabineers, jumars, specialized shoes, summit bags, pitons, harnesses etc. They also require some type of shelter, as mountaineering often requires them to spend nights as well as days up in the mountains. A sleeping bag may be enough in summer, but tents are the shelter of choice in windy winter conditions.
Mountaineering is an out door sport with exposure to many hazards of Nature and hence requires proper preparation and execution. A mountaineer has to be aware of nature of mountains, environment condition, capabilities of their team etc and hence prepare themselves accordingly. Very few hazards faced by a mountaineering team are due to equipment failure

It is any mountaineers dream to scale summit of Mt. Everest; this is not the main objective at Nature Knights. But knowing our team you never know; we can definitely set a target to reach base camp of Mt. Everest in next five years.
